If you follow us on Instagram, then you’ll already be familiar with Penny. I thought it was about time that she had a formal introduction! Penny joined our family in March 2020 at the same time that Sketch By Sam started up, so she’s been here right from the start. In fact, we picked her up a few days before the first COVID lockdown, perfect timing really... what's not to like about being told to say home when you've just got a puppy!
Penny (Penelope when she's being naughty!) is a Black Cockapoo and was just 8 weeks old when we first collected her. She was one of four pups and we choose her because she had a little white belly and was teeny tiny. One year on, she's got a massive personality but she's still teeny tiny and we constantly get asked if she’s a puppy!
Penny was obviously the inspiration behind our best selling Christmas Decoration, a dog bone which can be personalised with a name! From time to time she also uses her puppy dog charm and models with various products in the range. Below you'll see her posing with the Christmas Ornament and celebrating her 1st birthday with a 3D effect number sign.

Can you believe it’s June already? I don’t know about you, but I think this year is absolutely flying by, so much so that I actually started thinking about the dreaded ‘C’ word this week and have started designing some new bits for Christmas 2024!
It goes without saying that at Sketch By Sam we absolutely love a colourful interior. Whether it’s colour drenching, maximalist wallpapers or dopamine décor, we are definitely here for a colour orientated interior design trend because it gives us any excuse to show off our bold and playful pieces of wall art.
Have you ever been privileged enough to be proudly presented with a work of art from a little one? Whether it’s an abstract painting in the nicest shade of all-the-colours-mixed-together brown or that first family portrait with giant heads and teeny tiny bodies, it’s definitely a moment to cherish.
